Designing for Connection: Helping Build Communities that Thrive
At Lenity Architecture, we believe in designing spaces that not only meet the needs of their inhabitants but also elevate the spirit of the communities they serve. This year, we’ve continued to build upon our partnership with Hawthorn on projects across the country. Two that we want to highlight are: Riverwalk Estates in Kennewick, WA, and Sycamore Ridge in Collierville, TN. These projects showcase our dedication to innovative design, community integration, and the seamless fusion of form and function.
Riverwalk Estates
Nestled in the heart of Kennewick, Riverwalk Estates is an independent senior living community designed with a modern northwest aesthetic. Spanning 145,935 square feet, the facility features 149 suites (166 beds) and an additional 6,042 square feet of outdoor decks and patios. Divided into three distinct buildings with fire walls, the design prioritizes safety while delivering an upscale, modern experience that aligns with the vibrant growth of the Tri-Cities area.
Our team of architects approached the design with a focus on balancing luxury and affordability, ensuring residents could enjoy upgraded interiors and premium amenities without compromising cost efficiency. The community’s features include an activity room, a cozy theater, a state-of-the-art gym, and a covered fourth-floor patio offering breathtaking views. The outdoor spaces are just as inviting, with landscaped pedestrian walkways, lush gardens, social gathering areas, and a welcoming fire pit designed to foster connection and well-being.
Riverwalk Estates represents our commitment to creating spaces that enrich lives through thoughtful design and innovation. It stands as a beacon of modern architecture’s role in enhancing individual experiences and contributing to the vitality of growing communities.
Sycamore Ridge
In Collierville, TN, Sycamore Ridge reflects a harmonious balance of traditional aesthetics and modern living. This three-story, 141,006-square-foot retirement residence was designed with a Colonial Revival architectural style, echoing the charm of the surrounding area. Featuring 141 independent suites, the community is crafted to provide functionality, elegance, and a warm sense of home.
The design process addressed unique challenges, including city regulations requiring active and formally planned open spaces. These constraints inspired creative solutions that seamlessly integrated indoor and outdoor living, ensuring that the building footprint harmonized with its environment. The use of brick and siding materials further solidified the connection between the community’s architectural style and its locale.
Sycamore Ridge is enriched with thoughtfully curated amenities, such as an activity room, a theater, a fully equipped gym, and a serene covered patio. Outdoor spaces feature landscaped gardens, pedestrian walkways, and gathering spots like a fire pit, fostering opportunities for connection and reflection.
Through innovative problem-solving and a deep commitment to community-centered design, Sycamore Ridge embodies our dedication to creating spaces that inspire and enhance daily living.
Both Riverwalk Estates and Sycamore Ridge highlight Lenity Architecture’s unwavering focus on crafting environments where people can thrive. By addressing complex challenges with creative solutions, our architects continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, designing communities that are as functional as they are beautiful.
