Professional Engineer – ELECTRICAL

Summary:

As Professional Engineer – Electrical, you will be responsible for independently coordinating with a team of drafters and production staff within the said engineering discipline.  You will be the EOR (Engineer of Record) for all electrical aspects, including drafting and designing of said discipline including reviewing, approving design drawing sets. You will apply experience, knowledge, and codes, or identify alternatives and solutions to building code exceptions, as well as devise new approaches to problems encountered. You will build system concepts and documents from schematic design through construction administration phases within the discipline, while maintaining a comprehensive coordinated effort with all design stakeholders, in addition to managing and monitoring one’s budgetary and schedule accountability, design calculations, drawing preparation, specification preparation and documentation of all design tasks.

We are looking for an exceptionally experienced individual who can organize and coordinate assigned tasks, ability to lead a team and client meetings, and derive/collect/analyze project information quickly and simplistically; professionally prepare technical evaluations of projects and accurately and concisely provide technical information to management to inform, update and/or influence decisions on technical issues; as well as Engage professionally with confidence informed by emotional intelligence, with existing external clients and potential new clients through project business development.

Lenity performs site visits across the United States. Travel to/from project site visits will be required.

Education + Experience + Requirements:

  • EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering
  • EXPERIENCE – AND four (4) to twelve (12) years related experience and/or training.

Certifications:

This position requires:

  • Engineering License and Registration with the ability to be licensed in multiple states.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • An active, in-good standing NCEES account

As Professional Engineer – Mechanical, you will be responsible for independently leading all mechanical, plumbing, smoke evacuation, and fire suppression activities within a team of engineers, designers, and production staff.  You will be the EOR (Engineer of Record) for disciplines mentioned and draft, approve, and stamp all said discipline drawing sets. You will apply experience, knowledge, and codes, or identify alternatives and solutions to building code exceptions, as well as devise new approaches to problems encountered. You will build system concepts and documents from schematic design through construction administration phases within the discipline, while maintaining a comprehensive coordinated effort with all design stakeholders, in addition to managing and monitoring one’s budgetary and schedule accountability, design calculations, drawing preparation, specification preparation and documentation of all design tasks.

Summary:

As Architect II, you will be responsible for finished plans, specifications, and approvals of materials and construction; assisting in the design development, and/or review planning concepts and solutions; developing architectural drawings to communicate planning concepts for project documentation and construction; and preparing and developing architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.

We are looking for demonstrated proficiency in using advanced techniques and diverse architectural knowledge of principles and practices. Your contributions are to take responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and material approval; apply sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields; and supervise and guide overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters to ensure project and company goal and initiatives exemplifies the Lenity way.

 

Education + Experience:

  • EDUCATION – Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited university
  • EXPERIENCE – 6+ years of experience

General Objectives + Responsibilities:

  • Develops architectural drawings to communicate planning concepts for project documentation and construction.
  • Prepares and develops architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.
  • Assists in the design development, and/or review planning concepts and solutions.
  • Exhibits diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices, uses advanced techniques, and has responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and material approval.
  • Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields.
  • Works with managers, site development, design, and permit teams as well as outside consultants to acquire the necessary approvals and entitlements needed for site development.
  • Manages the entitlement process by obtaining required approvals from planning and zoning departments or other discretionary approvals to implement construction plans.
  • Maintains knowledge of site preparation and construction, regulations and laws pertaining to construction projects, and municipal planning and development processes.
  • Professionally represents Lenity and our various clients at community meetings by fielding questions about projects by educating and conveying accurate representations to stakeholders and educating them about the benefits.
  • Identifies and resolves problems and issues relating to an authority having jurisdiction (AHJ); communicate pertinent information to Senior Manager, design and production teams regarding design requirements needed to get approval from municipalities. Identifies and implements the state, county and local codes, ordinances and regulations that are applicable to projects. Makes sure all drawings meet said codes.
  • Architectural Illustration is preferred, including the following work: creating presentation ready images (3D modeling); responsible for composition of imagery, including life-like / vibrant aesthetics; creating two- and three-dimensional renderings for a variety of projects and needs; assisting Managers with presentation materials for jurisdictions, clients, and consultants as needed; and Colors site plans, building/unit colored floor plans for marketing purposes.
  • Manages accurate records for multiple projects at one time, and keep those records filed properly within the approved system.
  • Participates in team meeting to help resolve project issues, schedule adherence and technical issues.
  • Supervises and guides overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters to ensure project and company goal and initiatives exemplifies the Lenity way.
  • Responsible for the coordination of project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Acts independently regarding architectural methods and complexities.
  • Develops technical construction details.
  • Anticipates and develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
  • Knowledge of current building codes and possess the ability to successfully complete the permitting process with applicable planning officials.
  • Knowledge of addenda and construction change directive procedures.
  • The ability to review and respond to submittal and RFI documentation with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the project and industry.
  • Consults with manufacturers, evaluates, and helps select project related materials and specifications. Performs product research.
  • Coordinates and communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support, as necessary.
  • Assists Management in writing specifications as needed.
  • Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions and independently performs assignments. Devises new approaches to problems encountered and discusses with project manager as needed.

Compensation:
