About Us

The word “lenity” is defined as the quality
of being mild or gentle towards others.

At Lenity Architecture, this simple but powerful word takes the form of strong relationships that make the commercial architecture or senior housing planning, design and building process see effortless to the client.

We strive to provide our clients a seamless and profitable planning, design and building experience while enriching the lives our staff, clients and those that enter the walls we help build. With our team of over 40 architects, engineers, drafters, site planners, permitting experts and administrative staff–there is always an expert available with well-informed and up to the minute answers about your project.

Lenity Architecture is licensed in 31 U.S. states with architects in 8 additional states and 3 Canadian provinces. Our experience working with a wide range of different state and local jurisdictions means that our team is able to navigate even the most challenging permitting processes.

Whether it’s senior housing or commercial architecture planning and design, our work begins by helping clients determine a project’s feasibility and actual costs. Our team of in-house land use and zoning specialists provide a comprehensive analysis of fees the project may incur such as system development charges and permits. We then help our clients determine how a piece of property will accommodate an existing program or a brilliant new idea.

During the early planning stages, we’re thinking through how the building will be used. We put ourselves in the place of the user–how will the seniors in a retirement community interact with the facility and landscape design? Will a medical office’s design make the staffs’ job easier and the patient feel secure? Will the design of a retail building warmly invite customers in and speak to the business’ brand?

At Lenity Architecture, we strive to live up to our name and have found that a spirit of willingness, enthusiasm and respect are powerful drivers of long-term success. Decades of experience have taught us that regardless of the project size or complexity, there is great reward in seeing it through as a team.

This philosophy is what we call “The Lenity Way” and it is the driving force behind all we do Lenity Architecture.

Community

The word “lenity” is defined as the quality of caring, mildness and gentleness. We strive to live up to our name by stewarding our time and resources in a way that enhances the lives of our clients, staff and those that enter the walls we help build.

By supporting the organizations below as well as the Liberty House Child Abuse Assessment Center, Salem Keizer Meals on Wheels, and the Chemeketa Education Foundation, we are investing in the very foundation of our community’s future and honoring its residents–both young and old.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Lenity Architecture supports local non-profit agencies with their time. Daniel Roach, a shareholder at Lenity Architecture has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club in Salem for over ten years.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow — all while having fun. "They are truly The Positive Place For Kids."

Boys & Girls Club

YWCA of Salem

Kristin Newland, a Lenity Architecture shareholder, has served on the Board of Directors for the Salem YWCA for nearly five years. The YWCA provides the skills, resources, guidance, and assistance to meet the needs of women and their families in Marion and Polk counties through opportunities that promote self-sufficiency, character, financial stability, well-being and healthy life styles. They accomplish this by delivering direct support services including shelter, health screening and medical referral, leadership training, interpersonal relationship skills, and language access to women, girls and their families. The need in the Salem area continues to escalate as evidenced by the number of families on the waiting list at YWCA shelter and the steady stream of people that arrive daily seeking assistance. Kristin invites you to learn more by visiting the YWCA website.
